About
The Grasshopper
Project
Our journey began with a spark—a shared vision to nurture and support the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of health, wellness, and performance.
Growing up, founder and mentor-in-chief Erwin Benedict Valencia intrinsically embraced the role of “big brother” within his circle, always ready with sage advice and guidance whenever someone needed it. It was through these experiences that Erwin discovered the incredible power of mentorship and the potential it holds for personal and professional development.
As a seasoned life coach, health and wellness coach, and former athletic trainer, physical therapist, and wellness lead for the New York Knicks, Erwin knows firsthand that professionals in these dynamic fields need more than just knowledge or success.
They crave a sense of purpose and a deeper connection with the world around them.
Witnessing how the universe aligned, turning his childhood dream into an opportunity to work with the New York Knicks, he sought to offer the same chance to other students and professionals who wanted to thrive in their chosen fields.
Inspired by his own journey, Erwin founded the Grasshopper Project, a vibrant community of like-minded individuals coming together, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact.
As the first Filipino to become a full-time medical staff member for any major sports league in the US, the Grasshopper project also reflects his passion for breaking barriers. It’s the embodiment of his vision: a community where extraordinary journeys unfold.
Through our global network, we’re unlocking doors teeming with opportunities, offering support, guidance, and a lighthearted ribbing when you need it—because isn’t that what a big brother would do?
We believe that true success is living a life of purpose and making a difference in the lives of others.
And as a Grasshopper and a Guru, you stand at the very heart of this pulsating energy, cultivating a culture of giving, championing causes, and leaving an indelible legacy.
